Gentle care for a soft organic gem

Amber is softer than many common gem materials. A mild cleaning routine and separate storage help protect the bead surfaces, twine, knots, and clasp.

1

Clean

Use lukewarm water with a small amount of mild soap. Wipe gently with a soft cloth. Do not scrub the matte bead surfaces.

2

Dry

Remove soap residue and dry promptly. Avoid prolonged soaking so the twine and individual knots are not left saturated.

3

Store

Place the dry necklace in its soft pouch or a separate lined compartment, arranged in a natural curve without weight on the clasp.

Keep it away from

  • High heat and prolonged strong light
  • Perfume, hairspray, cosmetics, and household chemicals
  • Steam and ultrasonic cleaning equipment
  • Harder jewelry that can scratch the surface
  • Flame, heated needles, solvents, and scratch tests

Check before storing

Make sure the necklace is dry. Look along the twine, knots, and clasp for visible wear. If the construction appears damaged, stop handling the strand and contact Ambercalm for product guidance.
